Article abstract: FLITE Tours, Inc, DBA: Klein-Edwards Professional Services (KEPS) was retained by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to conduct post-fire monitoring for the federally endangered Quino checkerspot butterfly (Euphydryas editha quino) on the Otay Truck Trail site located in the County of San Diego, California. KEPS's surveys were conducted according to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service protocols for this species (USFWS 2002). No Quino checkerspot butterflies were observed this year.
