This position can be office-based or hybrid. In this position you will support projects in the energy generation, transmission, public lands, private developers, local and state governments, oil and gas, waters and a variety of other client types and service lines primarily in Southern California.
The ideal candidate will be a biologist with strong environmental consulting experience who has managed projects and/or has provided highly technical resource expertise for projects with complex biological resources issues. In this position, you will take a lead role in providing biological expertise and oversight, managing large natural resource or multidisciplinary projects, clients, identifying and pursuing project opportunities, planning and overseeing field surveys, providing subject matter expertise, mentoring staff, and developing, implementing and overseeing quality control for natural resource studies and reporting. Your work will expand SWCA’s professional reputation in natural resources management and research throughout California and beyond, and you will be provided with opportunities for professional development. You will collaborate with peers, maintain SWCA’s standards of excellence, and support the continuing development of SWCA’s Natural Resources Program.
