Job Opportunity - Environmental Scientist (Orange Coast, California State Parks)

The reporting location for this position is Crystal Cove State Park, Laguna Beach CA. This position will work under supervision of Orange Coast District's Senior Environmental Scientist.

This is an opportunity to be involved at the District level with the Wildfire Resiliency Action Plan set forth by Governor Newsom. This position is an integral part of the Orange Coast District's Wildfire Resiliency Program (WFRP). Duties include: natural resource management planning; regulatory agency compliance and permitting; habitat restoration project planning and implementation, tracking and reporting; outreach and public messaging; field staff coordination and training, including safety meetings and success criteria-based monitoring.

Training and Development Assignments may be considered.

This position may work up to 1500 hours per year/in a 12 consecutive month period.

This position is designated as not telework eligible.
