The Reserve Manager serves as a representative of UC Irvine and the UCNRS and engages with partner organizations, researchers, students, and the public to promote the field stations and the mission UCI Nature and the UCNRS. Field site objectives may vary based on research and educational needs. Close engagement with California State Parks, the Anza-Borrego Foundation, Joshua Tree National Park, the UC Irvine campus community, and other partners is integral to supporting agreements and collaborative grants which serve to develop a foundation of knowledge and relationships promoting research, education, and stewardship in the region.
