This is a call for abstracts for presentations at the 2023 National Habitat Conservation Plan Coalition Annual Meeting. The Annual Meeting brings together HCP practitioners from across the country, including federal, state, and local agency staff, consultants, stakeholders, policy experts, and scientists. The Annual Meeting will be held November 7 – 9, 2023 at the National Conservation Training Center in Shepherdstown, WV.

Our Sessions for NHCPC 2023 Annual Meeting:

• How HCPs Advance Infrastructure Bill Priorities: Focus on Transportation and Renewable Energy HCPS or HCPs that allow for the Permitting of these Projects
• Delivering Results: Successes in Species Conservation and Project Permitting
• Highlighted HCPs (in development)
• HCPs in Practice – Challenges, Successes, Lessons Learned (in implementation)
• Creating Resilient Landscapes to Respond to a Changing Climate
• Monitoring and Adaptive Management of Preserves and Species
• Community Outreach and Stakeholder involvement: Continuing Engagement throughout the Permit Term (Why is it important, what is the value added, new techniques/technology for outreach)
• Preserve Stewardship: Notes from the Field -- What is the Work that is Really Happening?
• Annual Reporting Show and Tell: Invitation to HCPs to bring their Annual Reports and share innovations (Sign up and share with 3–5-minute speed presentations.)

A few notes:

• All presentations will be in person.
• Presentations will be 10-15 minutes in length.
