IRC has an opening for a full-time Program Coordinator on the Monitoring and Research team. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to work outdoors employing a variety of knowledge and skills. Depending on the needs of the program, the Program Coordinator may spend the day in the field recording data on plants or animals or using and maintaining remote sampling equipment such as cameras and acoustic recorders. Other duties may include time in the office processing images from cameras or analyzing and reporting on data collected in the field. For some monitoring activities, the Program Coordinator will lead teams of trained and experienced volunteers, plan and coordinate the work of volunteers working independently, and conduct regular training for volunteers new to an activity. The Coordinator will also work with third-party researchers and contractors. The Program Coordinator works independently under general direction and as part of a team.
