Job Opportunity - Program Coordinator, Plant Materials Development (Volunteers) (Irvine Ranch Conservancy)

IRC has an opening for a full-time Program Coordinator on the Plant Materials Development team. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to work outdoors and use a variety of skills, and who enjoys working with people. Depending on the season and the needs of the program, the Program Coordinator will lead teams of trained and experienced volunteers at IRC’s native seed farm and nurseries, plan and coordinate the work of volunteers working independently, and conduct regular training for volunteers new to the program. The Program Coordinator will also lead regular public work days, where they will use interpretation to help volunteers and the public understand ecological concepts related to conservation, ecological restoration, and plant science. When not working with volunteers or the public, the Program Coordinator will work independently, or will coordinate work crews. Weekend work will be required for this position, as well as occasional evening work.
