Grant Opportunity - NCCP Local Assistance Grant

The Proposal Solicitation Package (PSP) for the 2021-2022 Natural Community Conservation Planning (NCCP) Local Assistance Grant (LAG) Program was released today. The PSP and Proposal Application are available on the Department’s NCCP Grants webpage at: https://www.wildlife.ca.gov/Conservation/Planning/NCCP/Grants. Proposals will be due by 5 pm on June 18, 2021.

Below are a few items of note:

  • The Wildlife Conservation Board (WCB) has agreed to dedicate up to $2 million in additional funds for restoration or enhancement projects.
  • Grantees for these restoration projects will enter into Grant Agreements directly with WCB.
  • All applicants will continue to use the NCCP LAG application but restoration projects will only be considered for Prop. 68 funds.
  • The application has been simplified this year.
  • Applications submitted by Implementing Entities will receive additional scoring consideration.
