Artemis Environmental Services, Inc. is currently seeking a full‐time mid‐level GIS Specialist to be based in Southern California and serving projects in various counties throughout Southern California and the southwest. We are looking for someone with knowledge or interest in biological resources and planning who is comfortable working independently and remotely and can receive, prioritize, and complete GIS work requests within agreed upon deadlines. This person would work with project managers, regulatory specialists, and biologists to determine a project’s GIS needs, provide information for project technical analyses, and ultimately prepare report figures and data exports with oversight from our Senior GIS Specialist teaming partner.

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

• Creating final map products using ArcGIS for various reports, meetings, and exhibits

• Creation, maintenance, and QA/QC of geographic data sets using ArcGIS.

• Integrating CAD and GPS data with ArcGIS

• Conducting heads‐up digitizing of geographic features

• Delivering data sets & metadata to clients, jurisdictions, and end‐users
