Under direction, the Senior Water Resources Specialist will be responsible for performing a variety of complex technical water resource and environmental planning, research, and analyses related to environmental impact and mitigation monitoring; water supply and facility development; manage environmental compliance for programs and projects subject to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA); habitat conservation planning, conducting complex statistical, financial, and economic analysis; preparing detailed technical water resources and environmental reports and correspondence, managing multiple consultant contracts; reviewing and providing comments on technical water resources and environmental planning documents prepared by others; representing Water Authority interests at local, regional, and statewide forums; preparing and delivering oral presentations; negotiating with regulatory agencies and performing other duties as assigned.
