South County Grasslands Best Management Practices Workshop

LandIQ, Conservation Biology Institute, AECOM, and The Nature Conservancy will be presenting the South Country Grassland Project (SCGL) recommended Best Management Practices (BMPs) for landscape scale native grassland and forbland restoration including Otay tarplant (Deinandra conjugens) and quino checkerspot butterfly (Euphydryas editha quino) habitat. The BMP's are based on results obtained from four years' of nonnative plant control and restoration techniques applied to grassland and forbland habitats on Rancho Jamul Ecological Reserve (CDFW), Sycamore Canyon (BLM), and San Diego National Wildlife Refuge (USFWS).
