John Martin from the San Diego National Wildlife Refuge will be giving an overview of their project to augment Quino checkerspot butterfly populations on the refuge. This is has been a cooperative effort with a lot of people and organizations, to obtain Quino eggs, grow them in captivity through their vulnerable pre-diapause larval stage, and release them into good-quality habitat on the refuge, as larvae.
Normal monthly meetings are held on the fourth Wednesday of every month, except for the combined November/December meeting.
