The San Diego Management and Monitoring Program (SDMMP) is hosting training on entering data into the South Coast-Multi-taxa Database (SC-MTX) via its web-based data entry portal. We are soliciting participants for our next scheduled training.
Who should attend: (a) Anyone who is, or will be, required to submit data to SC-MTX as part of an EMP grant or other funding. (b) Anyone who wants to have data shared in the SC-MTX database, even if not required to do so.
Date: Wednesday, March 4, 2015 Time: 1:00 -3:30pm Location: either SANDAG office (downtown San Diego) or USGS office
Space is limited for each training. If you can't make this date, or space fills before we hear back from you, there will be additional training in the coming months.
RSVP: please reply to me (Sharon Coe, scoe@usgs.gov) by Wednesday, February 25. Please indicate if you have a laptop you can bring to the meeting (not required).
Background: The purpose of the SC-MTX online data entry portal is for stakeholders, contractors, scientists and other data collectors to upload their data to the database via the internet. The database serves to archive, share, and disseminate data collected in the South Coast region for use in regional planning and conservation efforts.
