More on SDMMP and MSP

The SDMMP was established by SANDAG in 2008 to provide a regionally coordinated, scientific approach to management and biological monitoring of rare plant and animal species on Conserved Lands in San Diego County (go to http://portal.sdmmp.com/ for more info on SDMMP). Under the direction of SANDAG, the SDMMP prepared the Management Strategic Plan (MSP) in 2013 to fulfill the need for a strategic approach to implement management and monitoring objectives across the region in a cost-effective manner. The MSP establishes overall regional goals and objectives and prioritizes implementation for 111 plant and animal species and 10 vegetation communities, and identifies geographic locations for management and monitoring actions, provides specific timelines, and establishes a process for coordination and implementation.
